I am not a spoiled teenager as many people are led to believe. I am just privileged and I have parents who are very strict. Just because they give me everything that I demand does not mean that I have to be rude to them. That is unacceptable. The have taught me manners and have also made sure that I studied well. They did not want me to be one of those rich kids who were not very intellectual. I got good grades in high school and got accepted in one of the most brilliant universities in the country. Whenever my parents were proud of me they showered me with gifts. They bought me a motor bike and a jeep too. They allowed me to go with them to school and they said that they would take care of the tax disk prices. I was hoping that I will not get victimized because of my family's wealth, I was glad because at least I had the brains to match the wealth and I am glad that I was wired like that. |

After the recession we saw a lot of collapse in institutions across the globe especially in the Americas and partially Europe.the markets took a down turn ,lay offs were the order of the day in many places not to mention foreclosures were at their utmost peak during this time.so to supplement for this loss a lot had to be sacrificed and dedicated to this cause.by this i mean the government had to come up with measures to safe guard the economy from further down turn.some of the measures undertaken by the leadership was car tax price increase 2010.this was a bill which sailed through parliament and will be implemented come this fiscal year.this shows the extent of damage the economy went through.there was an out cry but this was better than having tax being raised for food stuffs but as we all know it all trickles down to the common man as sectors like the public transport stakeholders pass down the cost to the consumer.without a doubt this are true tough times to say the list and the most encouraging thing to know is that it will pass by and we will see progress once more. |

I have been driving in our public roads for the last three years and I have never been caught up with a motoring offence by our traffic police. This is because I always do the right thing when driving. Doing the right thing means observing all the traffic rules, following every motoring rule to the letter and ensuring that I have the required licences and certificates all the time. All these documents needs to be valid, so I renew them as soon as their dates expire. One day I forgot to take my tax disc for a renewal, and I could not use the car for at leas a week until I had a tax disc renewal as it is required by the law. I hate taking chances because then I will be risking my life as well as the lives of many who are using the same roads as me. With so many accidents taking place in our roads, I attribute all this to my fellow drivers who are not careful as they drive. Human life is very sacred and one needs to be careful when humans are concerned. |

When you are taking your driving lessons you need to be sharp and alert and not getting lazy and sleepy from staying up all night partying. I am due to be receiving a company car very soon when i start a new job. I have been told though i will need to contribute towards the tax of the vehicle. I have never heard of this before, i have had a few company cars in the past and they were always taxed and mot'd for me, all i ever had to pay was my own petrol if i used the car for social use. I do not know whether this is standard, surely the company has some sort of company car tax budget to make sure they can cover the car tax for their fleet. They do not even have that many cars! just seems unfair because i have no choice over the car and because it is a large engine the tax is very expensive. I wouldn't mind so much if i had any say in what car i had. I suppose it is not the end of the world i just thought there may be some sort of regulations in place to help me out. |
